My name is Ava, and I am a Brazilian creator currently based in Marseille, France.
My background moves through Fashion Design and Architecture, unfolding a path where my body, nature, and vital energy intertwine in a more conscious way. I spent years in Paris working as a designer, pattern maker, studio manager, model, and massage therapist, before moving south in late 2023, leaving behind the normative structures of the fashion industry to embrace a more fluid and personal creative practice.

Creation, for me, is an act of personal alchemy. I stitch stones into steel chains, envelop objects with beeswax, make compositions that belongs to beautiful places. It is a process of resonating elements, revealing their potential to hold and transmit energy that can ignite other processes. I explore a bodily language that reframes eroticism and affection, shifting them towards a relationship with nature, objects, and creative force itself.

My work finds representation through jewellery, garments, installations, performances, and imagery in general, guided by an intuitive and ritualistic process, where making is inseparable from being. I am drawn to materials that carry their own memory and that often hold lithotherapeutic qualities. The stones used in my jewellery—hematites, agates, quartzes, and so on— resonate with transformation, identity, and presence. They are extensions of the body, both tactile and symbolic, worn as amulets as they carry my personal intention and possibly yours.

Since ancient times, minerals have been used not only as tools and amulets but also as powerful symbols of energy. Civilizations around the world believed that each stone held a unique power capable of influencing body and mind, bringing protection, strength, and balance. In astrology and esoteric traditions, minerals are often linked to planetary forces, amplifying their energetic properties.

HEMATITE - MARS

Hematite is ruled by Mars, the planet of action, resilience, and survival. In ancient Egypt, it symbolized vitality and protection, used in amulets and funerary rites to strengthen the spirit. Greek warriors believed hematite enhanced endurance, applying its powder before battle. Among North American indigenous peoples, hematite was a sacred pigment in war and healing ceremonies. Like Mars, this mineral embodies power, grounding, and an indomitable will.

Governed by Mars and the Sun, red agate radiates warmth, strength, and confidence. Egyptian artisans crafted it into talismans for protection, while in the Middle Ages, it was worn to instill courage and emotional stability. In South and Central American indigenous traditions, it was seen as a stone of fire and blood, empowering warriors and healers. Like the Sun, red agate nourishes the heart and fuels personal power.

Associated with the Sun, Jupiter, and Mercury, yellow agate is a powerful stone for prosperity and mental clarity. Its warm glow stimulates creativity, balances the solar plexus, and boosts self-confidence, making it an excellent stone for personal power and self-expression.
The Sun brings vitality and illumination, empowering this stone with energy for expansion and abundance. Jupiter further amplifies this energy, fostering growth and prosperity, while enhancing intuitive abilities. Mercury’s influence contributes to its ability to improve mental clarity and communication, sharpening focus and thought processes. Some indigenous traditions viewed yellow agate as a bridge between earth and sky, using it in rituals to attract abundance, strengthen intuition, and connect with higher energies.
